Overview
Dive into a luminous ocean of creativity! In this immersive retreat, you’ll learn to pull molten glass into seaweed, shells, and marine creatures using the vitrigraph method—then fuse glowing reef elements that come alive into your own under the sea fused creation.

Kory Dollar leads vitrigraph technique, “The Calligraphy of Vitrigraph,” focusing on rhythm, angle, and motion to shape underwater forms, using unique handmade tools.

Christine DiMack (Glow Glass) brings specialized expertise in glow sheet, frit, and powders—how to compose, fire, and finish glow-infused elements for maximum brilliance and longevity.
Together, they’ll guide you from glow pot design to live pulling, component shaping, and fusing glowing reef pieces suitable for mosaics, stained glass accents, and fused glass compositions.
🌊 What You’ll Create

Learn vitrigraph pulling to shape, sea grass & sea creatures
- Create glow brain coral, and other fused elements/ inclusions for your final project

Work exclusively with Glow Glass products and Bullseye COE 90 sheet glass to create glow vitrigraph and fused glass elements in the kiln

Complete a finished kiln-fired under the sea artwork that glows in the dark

Take home any extra vitrigraph or murrini you create
📅 Class Schedule
Thursday, Feb. 19 – Optional Add-On
Thursday Evening: Glow Pot Design & Kiln Prep 3 pm to 6 pm (registration required $ 85)

Begin inclusions early – open studio get a jump start on your project and have access to kilns – everyone gets their own shelf to create inclusions for final project and access to Kory’s exclusive products.

Load demo vitrigraph pots with instructors -live demo on how to influence the glow pull with Glow Glass’s Sheet Glass
- Pot 1 – “Glow Sea Grass” – green glow with striations
- Pot 2 – “Glow Tentacles” – create glow in the dark twisted tentacles for jellyfish
- Pot 3 – “Glow Creatures” – load and pull with intention – creating glow sea creatures
- Kiln programming and loading for set up delay program for early morning start.
Goal: Pots ready to pull on Friday morning 9 am. - Exclusive one-on-one time with instructors and get acclimated to studio (recommended if you have not been here!)
Friday, Feb. 20 – Day 1 – Pulling the Ocean Floor: Glow Seaweed and Creatures
Morning
- Live Demo – First thing so kilns can cool, and we can load student pots by noon or 1 pm
- Welcome – Student and Instructor Introduction
- Safety, Product and Tool Overview
- Introduction to Studio
- Discussion with Kory – How to process the vitrigraph pull, including annealing your products
- Lecture with Christine – Introducing Glow Glass products into your glass art and understanding the product
Midday
- Loading with intention – students will have an opportunity to load vitrigraph pots
- Creating Elements / Inclusions for your Final Project in the Kilns *note each student will get one shelf to work on inclusions for final project
- Group Project – Load Kilns with frit to create glow coral – students will collaborate on this project and we will fill a big kiln
Evening
- Vitrigraph techniques – hands on pulling
- Continue to create glow inclusions using our newly pulled products from the demo and student pulls
- Load kilns with inclusions
- Discuss firing schedules and kiln programing hands on learning – students will have the opportunity to program the kilns and become confident
DAY 2 Saturday, Feb. 21 – Day 2
- Unload kilns
- Group Discussions and Instructor Lectures throughout the day
- Assemble your underwater scene
- Prep kilns – everyone assists in painting shelves, vacuuming
- Load Kilns – kilns need to be loaded by 5 pm for all final projects
DAY 3 Sunday, Feb. 22 – Day 3
- Kiln opening—glow reef unveil! –
- Group critique + Q&A with both instructors.
- Take-home pack: firing schedules (vitrigraph + glow fusing), supplier list featuring Glow Glass, pot “recipes,” and UV photography tips.
