SilkeMat Mask – Glass Fusing – Retreat with Barbara Cashman

Hosted at the Marvelous Mosaic Fine Art Retreat Center

Create expressive kiln-formed glass masks while learning directly from Barbara Cashman, the inventor of SilkeMat.

During this immersive retreat, you will design and kiln-form two custom glass masks while exploring texture, color, and dimensional decoration techniques.

Students will also have access to exclusive vitrigraph pulls created by Kory Dollar, adding unique hand-pulled glass elements to their designs.

Whether you are new to kiln forming or an experienced glass artist looking to expand your techniques, this workshop provides professional instruction, a supportive creative environment, and the opportunity to create truly unique artwork.

Retreat Schedule

Thursday (Optional Add-On)

Arrive early for a relaxed evening in the studio.

• Check-in after 3 PM

• Open studio fusing session until 8 PM

• Potluck dinner with fellow artists

Flying in? Stop at the store on the way or simply join us — there is always plenty to share.

Meals & Venue

A $100 meal and venue fee includes:

• 2 breakfasts

• 2 lunches

• 2 dinners

• Snacks and refreshments throughout the weekend

Shared meals create a welcoming community atmosphere, and there are no restaurants nearby, so meals are provided for convenience.

Bonus:
Students staying Thursday night receive Friday breakfast included.

• All sales final

• Cancel 45+ days prior: transfer available if your spot fills

• Cancel within 15 days: credit forfeited

• One reschedule allowed within 6 months

• Final payment due 30 days before the retreat
