- Cost: $645 for a 21″ mirror+$75 food/venue fee (not optional; billed at time of stay)
Embark on a joyous three-day creative journey with mosaic artist Angie Heinrich. In this workshop, you’ll personally design, craft, and complete your own Mandala Mirror. You’ll delve into the intricacies of techniques Angie has perfected over two decades, crafting thousands of works using beads and glass tiles. Indulge in the generous palette of beads and tiles provided by Angie and Kory’s studio, allowing you to weave a tapestry of color and texture that reflects the essence of your unique, heartfelt expression.

BONUS DAY: Thursday, October 22 ($85 for fusing, lodging available not included)
Make Your Own Accent Tesserae!
Join an optional Thursday class where Kory and Rachel will assist you in crafting personalized glass accent pieces to seamlessly integrate into your mandala. Each student will be able to fill a 12 x 12 kiln shelf with unique murrine items for their mandala. This class will begin between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
This sacred journey of Mandala Mirror creation is an invitation to learn and, above all, to revel in the sheer joy of creating. You will leave this class with a finished piece ready to hang on your wall!
Class Schedule
- Day 1: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Design)
- Day 2: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Design)Participants often work longer hours.
- Day 3: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Grout/Finish)

About the Venue
Immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of our retreat center. Indulge in delicious meals prepared specially for our retreat participants, providing nourishment for both body and soul. Whether you are an experienced mosaic artist or a beginner, this retreat is designed to meet you at your skill level and inspire you to push the boundaries of your artistic expression.
Essential Information
- Packing Tips:
- Bring hard-bottom slippers if you’re staying overnight.
- Glue does not come out of clothes—wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
- Amenities Provided:
- Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, pillows, bedding, and ear plugs.
- Lodging:
- Bunks are built into the walls—sturdy, easy to access, and cozy, with outlets nearby.
- Staying at the venue is highly recommended for an enhanced experience.
Transportation
- Lodging and transportation can be added to your package.
- Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged for $75 each way. The studio is located about 50 miles from the airport (a two-hour round trip for the driver). This fee is paid cash directly to your driver.
Additional Details
- Snacks and refreshments will be available all weekend.
- Studio hours extend until 10:00 PM each night, with instruction available until 5:00 PM.
- Breakfast is included on Friday for those staying Thursday night.
- The studio is located inside a 2,000 sq. ft. gymnasium, offering a vibrant and inviting artistic atmosphere.
