Stained glass commission for private residence in Seattle, Washingon. This mosaic has so many amazing features from the wrinkle tale created at Bulseye in the early 90s. The tale is made from abalone guitar picks and the brests are real sand dollars and starfish. All the blue circles are hand cut stained glass, using only nippers. The artwork is a mosaic framed in a wooden border, featuring a detailed depiction of a mermaid. The mermaid is centered within the scene, her long, dark hair flowing and accented with delicate features. She is adorned with seashells on her torso and her long, scaly tail extends downward, rendered with intricate, abalone to simulate scales. The background is a rich tapestry of blue and purple stained glass hues, giving the impression of an underwater scene. A yellow starfish is present in the lower left corner, adding a contrasting pop of color. The mosaic overall is vibrant and captures the ethereal beauty of the mythical underwater creature.
