Movement & Flow Glass-on-Glass Mosaic Retreat with Kory Dollar
Learn how to make glass move across the surface of a mosaic through directional placement, repeated shapes, and intentional transitions from one area of the composition to another.
During this three-day retreat, students learn directly from Kory Dollar of Marvelous Mosaic Fine Art. Kory teaches glass-on-glass mosaic through clear, hands-on methods that help students understand how glass breaks, how to use directional cuts, how to balance color and opacity, and how to build artwork with movement, depth, and personality.
This retreat focuses on tip-to-tip backgrounds plus Sliver and Boat cuts. Students will explore andamento, directional rhythm, clean transitions, and how repeated cut systems can guide the eye through a glass-on-glass composition.

Class starts at 10 AM Friday.
🔥 Optional Thursday Night Fusing Add-On – $85
Meals & Studio Access
The $100 meal/venue fee includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, snacks, and refreshments all weekend. Because meals are shared in the studio, you will have more time to connect with other artists. Studio access is available until 10 PM, although instruction ends at 5 PM.
Traveling from Out of Town?
- Airport pickup/drop-off available for $75 each way.

Lodging Recommendations
St. Helens, Oregon and Rainier, Oregon are the closest lodging options and are the towns you want to stay in. Hotel options include OYO Hotel and Best Western. There are also Airbnb rentals in the area.
Although Kalama may look close on a map, it is not a convenient lodging location for the retreat. Portland and PDX-area lodging are approximately 45 minutes away. For the easiest commute, stay in St. Helens or Rainier.

- All sales final.
- Cancel >45 days: transfer available if spot fills.
- Cancel <15 days: credit forfeited.
- One reschedule allowed within 6 months.
- Final payment due 30 days before event.
